Facebook is the number one social media site in the world. With over 800 million users, it is the fastest growing website to ever be launched. Facebook makes the world smaller by bringing people together in a way never before possible. Now you can stay connected with family and friends through pictures, posts, messages, videos, and groups. Facebook page creation can be done in three easy steps- create an account, individualize your profile, and find friends.
Create an Account
Becoming a member of Facebook is a straightforward process. Simply register with a valid email address and create a password. When Facebook first started, it was introduced as a college social media site. To have an account, you had to have a valid college email address complete with “edu” suffix. Now, however, any email address will do. Create a password that you will remember as you will have to use it every time you log onto Facebook. They never ask you to change or update your password, so the one you choose will always stay the same. Once you register, you will be brought to your new profile page.
Individualize your Profile
Once you have your profile page, your Facebook page creation process begins. It will ask you to enter information about yourself. You can add and much or as little as you want. When Facebook first launched, they gave you categories to fill out. Things like favorite hobbies, music, movies, books etc. Now, they have done away with specificity and instead simply have a section called ” about me” where you can write anything you like. They also have so basic questions to fill out such as the city you live in, you religion, political beliefs, relationship status, birth date, what schools you went to, favorite quotations, languages you speak and where you work. As with everything on Facebook, giving out information is an option. Fill out as much of the questions as you feel comfortable doing.
Now that your profile has been personalized, it is time to find some Facebook friends. As with all social media sites, you can find people who you don’t already know on Facebook. It is not, however, designed to be a dating site. Facebook is mostly used to stay in contact with those you already know, and is a great way to get to know someone better who you have met only briefly. To find friends, simply go up to the search bar at the top of the site and type in a name. When you find your friend, click on their name and it will take you to their page. Once there, click on add friend and wait for them to accept your request. As you add more friends and they add you, your home page will be filled with their updates, posts, pictures and videos.
Facebook allows you to stay connected to your friends and family around the world. Facebook page creation can be done in three simple steps- registering, personalizing your profile, and finding friends. Join Facebook for yourself to discover what almost one billion others are already experiencing.
